48 STEP PER DEGREE GYRO RETRANSMISSION UNIT, KW912

NMEA 0183 IN
48 steps per degree OUT
Or, 96 steps per degree out

KW948 NMEA to 48 steps per degreeThe Forty Eight Step Retransmission unit receives heading data from a gyro or magnetic compass in NMEA 0183.

The output controls two-pole stepper motors which operate at 48 steps per revolution. Such motors are an industrial standard and used in repeaters made by Plath and other manufacturers.

APPLICATIONS are in a retrofit, to allow a new gyro to be fitted whilst retaining the existing repeaters.
