KW903-SX synchro transmission unit The KW903-SX3 connects to a modern gyro or electronic compass.

It outputs synchro transmission of 1 revolution per degree (1:1) or 360:1, 180:1, 36:1, 9:1 etc etc... Often known as 180X, 90X etc.

Applications are for a retrofit gyro, keeping the existing repeaters.

INPUT:

NMEA 0183 heading, magnetic or gyro or GPS compass.

SIGNAL OR PHASE OUTPUT:

	Standard output nominal 55/110 volt reference. 50/60 Hz. Switch selectable.
	Synchro signals as standard, 0 - 55 volts 100 VA total.
	50 to 90 volt via optional extra transformer adapter box.
	Ratios 1:1, 9:1, 10:1, 30:1, 36:1, 90:1, 180:1, 360:1 (DIP switch selects.)
	Precision of (360/ratio) degrees. (1/36th deg for 36:1 etc.) except 0.05 degree at 180:1 and 0.01 degree at 360:1

REFERENCE OUTPUT:

Reference output 55/110v nominal 1 Amp at 50/60 Hz.

ALARM RELAY:

	Open when ok. Closes on power failure or if alarm is disabled.
	Pulses when the KW903 detects gyro fault, or output overload.

CONTROLS:

	Main on/off switch.
	Rotation rate and test select hex switch.
	Ratio dip switch

POWER ETC:

	Nominal 110/220 v 50/60 Hz at 400 VA. Earth is essential.
	Grey painted electrical cabinet with door for indoor bulkhead mounting. 400 x 500 x150 mm
